Certified Mergers and Acquisitions Professional (CM&AP) from Kennesaw State University in Georgia, Mergers and Acquisitions Master Intermediary (M&AMI), Master Certified Business Intermediary (MCBI), is a Lifetime Certified Business Intermediary (CBI), Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser (CMEA) and a Certified Senior Business Analyst (CBA).
As a serial entrepreneur, Mr. Bacinello has owned over 16 businesses in 9 different industries in both Eastern and Western Canada as well as South Africa over the past 50 years and has garnered much knowledge and expertise in buying, selling, developing, growing and even folding and restructuring of privately held businesses. Through his own experiences, he recognizes that the process of selling or purchasing a Company is a major undertaking. “There is a lot at stake, and it must be done right the first time. The alternate consequences can not only be costly, but devastating” he says.
Mr. Bacinello’s vast knowledge of divestitures, acquisitions, mergers, recapitalizations, and succession, has not only made him a subject matter expert, but earned him the reputation he currently enjoys as an authority on the subject, and mentor to other professionals in both Canada, the US, and abroad.
Mr. Bacinello lives with his spouse in Vancouver. He is a member of Cross Boarder Associations (CBA), Transeo, the M&A Source, and the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), where he continues to serve in the capacity of director, twice Chairman of the Board, and multiple other capacities. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards. He is also a certified instructor with the IBBA on the subjects of valuations and systematic processes in business brokerage. He is a member in good standing of the National Equipment and Business Brokers Institute, and the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
In addition to being an equity partner in multiple business enterprises including manufacturing, retail, and technology, and he is a co-owner of the patented Field Proven Earthquake Detection and Response System as well as a partner in several other B2B and B2C businesses.
He has co-hosted several radio shows on entrepreneurship and M&A, published multiple articles, and has served on the board of various non-profit organizations, served on several advisory boards of colleges and universities, and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Governance Officer for Small Business BC for many years. As an avid and dedicated mariner, he was a founding member and past unit leader of the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station 5.
