Edwin N. Kimani is an Advocate of the High Court and an LLM candidate at the University of Law Pursuing International Economic Law. He has extensive knowledge and working experience in the legal sector. He has had engagements in the Extractives Industry as a researcher and adviser to The Extractives Baraza, a project at Strathmore University. Here, he helped train government officials and stakeholders on various aspects of transactions and taxing of the oil and gas sector in Kenya.
He has previously been engaged in busy Commercial Law firms, Research centers and offered consultancies on an individual level on regional trade, tax and project finance. During his time at Muri Mwaniki and Wamiti Advocates and Mose, Mose and Millimo Advocates, he has been involved in major Mergers and Acquisitions, Restructuring and starting of major financial institutions among other achievements. He is also a published advocate, specifically in matters extractives, tax and international trade.
Currently, he serves as the Managing Partner of of his own Legal Services firm where he offers transaction advisories to companies, offshore tax planning, setting up of offshore entities among other services.
For offshore services, part of the geographical jurisdiction is Mauritius.
Edwin is member in the Law society of Kenya and the East Africa Law Society. He has working experience in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania.
