Laszlo Osvald received his first diploma in agricultural engineering, he got also certificate in accounting and controlling in 1993. He started his professional experience in the Hungarian Cooperative and Savings Bank as accountant, than he moved to the private sector getting financial leader position. His carrier moved forward when he joined the Swiss multinational Ciba Specialty Chemical (former British Allied Colloids) in 1996, where he held various management positions in finance and corporate management until 2007. He applied for and got his second diploma in Corvinus University Budapest in economy, corporate finance faculty in 2003. Beginning of 2009 he became finance director of FOREST-PAPÍR Ltd. one of the Hungarian market leader of paper conversion companies. Since 2011 he promotes and develops his own business in the advisory sector specialised in business consulting, M&A, Venture Capital, Private Equity with special focusing on industrial production and renewable energy sector.
Laszlo gained broad and special experiences in company management including: accounting and controlling, management reporting, treasury, taxation and project management not only in the Hungarian environment, but in some CEE countries like Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia and Bulgaria. He has also acquired experience in global business environments and has specific knowledge of international accounting principles (US GAAP, UK GAAP, Hungarian GAAP, IFRS reporting), as well as of the SOX requirements. Additionally, he has managed several ERP system implementations, company structure changes, such as foundation, de-merger and winding-up procedures. Furthermore, he had acquainted some special process in International Trade Affairs (ITA) and chemical product registration as well as human resource tasks. With these broad and various experiences behind him he provides specific support to clients according to their needs.
He maintains a wide professional network not only within the consultancy sector, but also in other areas such as legal, tax, IT, marketing & sales advisory sector, as well as venture capital funds, private investors and fund management.
He joined CBA as M&A Adviser in May 2015.
