Description:

Managing Director / Operations Director required for an established Building Services company that operate throughout Europe delivering the needs of their blue chip clients such as high end hotels, offices and retail shops.

The position is available as the founding Directors of the business have made a strategic decision to bring in a Managing Director / Operations Director to take control of the day to day operations of the business, manage P & L and implement processes and procedures to streamine the operation as well as looking at where the business is losing money.

The Founding Directors will only consider applications from candidates that they a proven senior management background wihtin the facilities management, building services industry with a track record implementing processes, managing managers, and knowledge of a service and maintenance lead business.

The position is available to candidates who have experience ranging from Senior Projects/Contracts Manager level to Managing director level.

Managing Director / Operations Director Position Overview

Day to day management of the business
Managing P&L and forecasting quoted works and the labour requirements
Overseeing key managers to ensure all business units are operating correctly
Working closely with the founders of the business developing processes and procedures
Assist in the preparation of the budget, middle term plan and ensure accurate monitoring of performance against targets.
Identify high performers and develop long term succession planning
Ability to communicate a vision of the future and where the business is going
Carry out performance reviews
Ensure all training needs are met to develop an effective team

Managing Director / Operations Director Position Requirements

Previous senior management experience
P&L responsibility
Assisted with the growth of a service and maintenance business
Building Service & Facilities Management knowledge
Based within a commutable distance of the London office
